You made it! Technology worked!
And thank God, because that card was just awful. Total whiff. Typos, tiny photos, incorrect zip code (see our correct address down below). We’ve got newsy updates for you here, but first, here are the photos we tried to print:
We’re home.
Wallace, Idaho
2023 flew by, but here are some highlights:
In February, we moved about an hour north from Big Sky, MT to Bozeman (where Michelle’s heart has lived since college). We bought a house south of campus near the trail system and we’re disgustingly happy with our new location.
Smith (14) started attending Bozeman High School and immediately joined the debate team competing in forum. He plays the guitar and has a girlfriend and body hair. It’s all too much.
Wallace (10) is a 5th grader at Morning Star Elementary. He plays football and basketball with his little crew of neighborhood kids and continues taking lessons in and regularly practicing the piano.
The photo above was taken in Wallace, Idaho and the dog in the background is our 1-yr-old bernedoodle, Ouisa (pronounced Wee-za). She loves long jogs with Michelle and dragging all our chewable possessions into the yard and destroying them.
Working on working.
Somewhere in Montana
Joe and Michelle (pictured at the June screening of the film Joe produced “Somewhere in Montana”) are finding themselves busier and busier.
Michelle took an intensive EMT course and is now a registered EMT, though her day job at the moment is substitute teaching at various Bozeman public schools. She also did a stint helping write an independent comedy series with Joe. And because she loves collecting degrees, she is now in the process of getting her masters in teaching high school science because sure why not. Though Michelle is still dealing with the fallout from having breast cancer and chemo last year, she remains impossibly upbeat.
Joe has a couple of films he produced in the post-production/sales phase. He’s also EP’ing an independent comedy series in Seattle and writing/producing an independent comedy feature film, both of which are slated to shoot in early 2024.
If you’re not already sick of the unending social media barrage that is Joe & Michelle’s podcast, you can check it out here. They’re truly unprofessional, but they talk to some interesting people.
